We proudly announce NExTWORKx, an intensive research collaboration between Delft University of Technology and Koninklijke KPN N.V. We have formulated a cutting-edge research program that aims to develop first-rate technologies in areas of 5G, blockchain and artificial intelligence. With the collaboration, both parties aspire to further develop the new disruptive technologies that have recently been seeing exponential growth in their application.
Today, I attended the event Your Circular Future at the Koninklijke Hollandsche Maatschappij der Wetenschappen. The KHMW is an organization that aims to promote science and bridge a gap between science and society.
We have submitted Scaling limits and generic bounds for exploration processes, and it is currently under review. It is joint work between Paola Bermolen, Matthieu Jonckheere, and Jaron Sanders. A preprint is available on arXiv.
I defended my thesis Stochastic Optimization of Large-Scale Complex Systems on January 28th, 2016 at the Eindhoven University of Technology. The defense was a great experience, and I have thoroughly enjoyed my time as a PhD student. The colleagues at the Stochastics Operations Research group and EURandom were great, and I’m also especially grateful to my supervisors Johan van Leeuwaarden and Sem Borst for all the unique opportunities.
